Is prior musical experience needed?

Not at all! Ready Set Dance music and singing lessons are simply part of our combo classes, which are designed for kids of all abilities. Children can explore songs, voice exercises and musical activities from their first session. We welcome children right from walking age into our Ready Set Move program! Ready Set Dance is perfect for children aged 2 through to 5.

How is music incorporated into Ready Set Dance activities?

Music and singing are integrated into every part of the program, from interactive songs and pop songs to movement and performance exercises. Children learn to follow rhythms, develop skills and connect their voice with movement.

Do Ready Set Dance Programs Offer Separate Kids Singing Lessons?

Ready Set Dance does not offer standalone kids singing lessons. However, singing and music are a key part of every combo class, along with our popular dance genres, including jazz, tap and hip-hop. Singing is fully integrated into movement activities, helping little ones explore their voice, rhythm and creativity as an essential element of the dance experience.

How Does Singing in Dance Help with Language Development?

Singing is an important part of Ready Set Dance programs and supports early language development. Through songs and musical activities, children are introduced to new words, phrases and sentence patterns, which helps expand their vocabulary and improve listening skills. Following lyrics and musical cues also strengthens memory, pronunciation and comprehension.
