In the Media: Kids Alive Water Safety Shows
We’re excited to share that Ready Set Dance, in partnership with Kids Alive – Do the Five, has been gaining media attention across Australia for its efforts in promoting water safety to young children. Our official locations across Australia are leading the way by offering interactive and educational water safety dance shows, designed to teach essential safety lessons in a fun and memorable way.
Ready Set Dance Teachers have undergone specialised training with Kids Alive to host interactive water shows at local early learning centres to ensure this important message is taught to children across Australia.
The need for this initiative is underscored by recent statistics: 15 children aged 0-4 years drowned last year, representing 5% of all drowning cases in Australia. While this number reflects a 6% decrease from the previous year and a 25% reduction from the 10-year average, the goal remains to reduce this number to zero.
By combining dance with life-saving safety messages, Ready Set Dance is helping ensure children not only have fun but also stay safe in and around water. This initiative is about more than just awareness—it’s about making a real difference in the lives of our youngest community members.
We are so proud of this initiative and our partnership with Kids Alive.
